Saturday 23rd May 2026. 10am to 5pm.
We have use of the Peffermill Club House area for the day, but food and drink are no longer served there. We are working on providing catering (subject to sponsorship), so stay tuned. There will be a charity bakes/treats/refreshments sale to keep you fuelled. But for now please plan to bring your own packed lunch.
Yes of course!! Please contact us if you would like to play for one of the six teams; or get involved any other way.
No. All teams are fully confirmed. But please get in touch in case of any changes.
In October 2025 we held a charity match between Edinburgh Drifters and Kinross Hockey Clubs. Some of us hadn’t played for ten years! So yes, don’t let hockey retirement stop you from playing, if you are fit to. The tournament is meant to be fun, friendly, and suitable for all ages, abilities and hamstring status.
There is no team or individual entry fee, and every player gets a custom tournament shirt and sports bottle. But we do ask each team to commit to fundraising for Little Hearts Matter through a JustGiving page (with a no-obligation target). All donations go directly to Little Hearts Matter (UK registered charity 1123290) with Gift Aid where appropriate. There will be an AWESOME prize for the team that raises the most. Plus, of course, bragging rights and plenty of kudos. See our ‘Teams‘ page for details.
To raise funds for Little Hearts Matter (RCN 1123290), the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those affected by a single ventricle heart – or half a working heart. In 2015 Sarah and Andrew Mitchell’s first child, Sophie, was diagnosed with this condition. Sophie survived seven surgical procedures, but at 5.55pm on Sunday 25th October she had a fatal cardiac arrest and lost her battle. This tournament will hopefully bring Sarah and Andrew’s fundraising in memory of Sophie to a total of £60,000. Helping Little Hearts Matter to support families, in the same way they supported Andrew and Sarah in 2015, to navigate this rare and life-threatening condition. More on Sophie's story is here.
There are six teams participating. We will play a round-robin plus finals, so every team gets six games. The five round-robin games will be 25 minutes. The finals will be based on the round-robin league standing, i.e. team 5 vs 6, team 4 vs 3; and team 1 vs 2 to determine the tournament winner.
Sunny and warm. 100% guaranteed or your money back.
